Everything is on Fire
Spring 2025 Collection
Mesh, Spandex, Flounces
-
In Everything is on Fire, Viana Nguyen translates a collective sense of crisis into movement and fabric. Composed of flounced silhouettes in mesh and spandex, the collection speaks to the volatility of the present moment where climate catastrophe, political unrest, censorship, and the erosion of bodily autonomy converge in a single, burning landscape.
But beneath the smoke and heat lies another force: female rage. Simmering and explosive, it pulses through each stitch and seam. The garments are not merely expressive; they are confrontational. Their sheerness dares to expose. Their stretch refuses restriction. Their shapes erupt with a fury too long restrained. This collection is a combustion of grief, resistance, and fury. Here, rage is not just reaction; it is creation. Nguyen transforms fire into fabric, pain into motion, and protest into form. This is fashion that refuses to whisper. It howls.
The dresses billow like smoke, cling like heat, and resist containment. Each piece embodies a different register of urgency: the maxi dress an all-consuming flame, the mini dress a slow burn, and the coordinated set a smoldering resilience. Through the interplay of transparency and stretch, Nguyen invites viewers to confront what is exposed, what is veiled, and what is ignited. This collection is not just an aesthetic gesture; it is a wearable act of protest, a poetic alarm for a world already ablaze.
